Role & responsibilities :
Procurement & Sourcing
Procure key raw materials such as steel wire rods, insulation materials, and packaging materials.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers/vendors.
Ensure timely procurement to avoid production downtime.
Vendor Management
Develop and maintain robust relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on cost, quality, and delivery.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements.
Cost Control & Budgeting
Monitor market trends to optimize procurement cost.
Implement cost-saving strategies and value engineering initiatives.
Prepare and manage procurement budgets.
Inventory Management
Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
Avoid excess inventory and minimize stock-outs.
Oversee material planning based on production schedules.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure purchased materials meet required quality standards and specifications.




Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection and approval.
Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Documentation & ERP Handling
Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain procurement records.
Work on ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for procurement tracking.
Ensure proper documentation for audits and financial controls.
Cross-functional Coordination
Work closely with production, finance, logistics, and quality teams.
Coordinate for timely delivery, payment processing, and issue resolution.

Preferred candidate profile:

Education
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or related field
MBA in Supply Chain/Operations (preferred)

Experience
8–10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in Wire, Metal Manufacturing Industries, Mechanical, Electronics, Bearing Industries
