High Purity Quartz (HPQ) Acid Leaching, Chemical Purification & Purification Studies

Role:

Responsible for conducting, optimizing, and scaling up chemical purification processes for the preparation of 99.999% high-purity SiO (HPQ).

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct acid leaching and chemical purification studies for quartz/SiO.
Develop and optimize acid treatment processes for impurity removal.
Work on hydrometallurgical techniques for reducing metallic and mineral impurities.
Identify suitable acids, concentrations, temperature, residence time, and process conditions for achieving high purity.
Analyze and monitor impurities such as Fe, Al, Ti, Ca, Mg, Na, K, and other trace elements.
Conduct laboratory-scale experiments, evaluate results, and optimize process parameters.
Develop effective impurity reduction and purification protocols to achieve 99.999% SiO purity.




Support scale-up of successful laboratory processes to pilot/industrial scale.
Maintain experimental records, prepare technical reports, and document process results.
Coordinate with analytical/testing teams for chemical and material characterization.

Required Skills & Expertise:
Expert knowledge of acid leaching and purification studies.
Robust experience in hydrometallurgical processes.
Expertise in impurity removal and reduction protocols.
Knowledge of quartz/SiO purification and High Purity Quartz (HPQ) processing.
Understanding of chemical process optimization and experimental design.
Experience in handling laboratory-scale chemical purification experiments.
Ability to troubleshoot and improve purification processes to achieve ultra-high purity levels
