ABOUT THE ROLE

SkillsNCR is looking for an Early Years & Primary Home Tutor to work with children from Nursery to Grade 2 in their homes in Gurugram.

This is not simply a homework-completion role.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children, can understand where a child is struggling, explain concepts patiently and help build strong foundations in learning, confidence and study habits.

The tutor will primarily support families around Sector 49 and nearby areas of Gurugram.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Provide one-to-one in-home learning support for children from Nursery to Grade 2
- Support early literacy, phonics, reading, vocabulary and comprehension
- Help with writing, handwriting and sentence formation
- Build foundational numeracy and mathematics skills
- Support school homework and reinforce concepts taught in school
- Use age-appropriate activities to make learning engaging
- Identify recurring learning gaps instead of simply giving answers
- Help children develop attention, confidence and independent learning habits
- Maintain brief session and progress notes
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents about progress, concerns and next areas of focus

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Must currently live in Gurugram
- Ideally based within practical travelling distance of Sector 49
- Comfortable travelling to students' homes for teaching sessions
- Comfortable working with children from Nursery to Grade 2
- Patient, warm and able to build rapport with young children
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and punctual with recurring teaching commitments
- Able to explain concepts in simple, child-friendly ways
- Professional when interacting with parents and families




- Strong awareness of child safety, skilled boundaries and responsible conduct

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Previous experience teaching, tutoring or working with young children is preferred.

Candidates with ECCE, NTT, Montessori, D.El.Ed, B.Ed or another relevant education background are welcome.

However, practical teaching ability, patience and the ability to engage young children matter more to us than qualifications alone.

Fresh graduates with strong relevant capability may also apply.
