Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers will oversee the recruitment, orientation, and day-to-day coordination of volunteers supporting CDAC’s programs and initiatives. This full-time, on-site role in Thiruvananthapuram involves scheduling and assigning volunteer activities, maintaining volunteer records, and ensuring transparent communication regarding responsibilities and expectations. The coordinator will design and deliver training sessions, support volunteers in their roles, and address questions or concerns promptly.

They will also collaborate with internal teams to identify areas where volunteers can contribute, assist with community outreach activities, and help monitor and report on volunteer engagement and impact. The role requires consistent on-site presence to build strong relationships with volunteers and stakeholders and to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training skills to effectively recruit, onboard, and support volunteers.




- Candidates should possess excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to engage diverse volunteers and internal stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess experience in Community Outreach and coordination of community-based activities or events.
- Candidates should have strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail in record-keeping and scheduling.
- Candidates should ideally have prior experience in coordinating volunteers or community programs, preferably within nonprofit, government, or research-oriented organizations.
- Candidates should hold a relevant degree or diploma in social work, public administration, humanities, management, or a related field.
- Candidates should be comfortable working on-site, collaborating in cross-functional teams, and using basic digital tools for communication and documentation.
