REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of hands-on Vertex O Series or Vertex Cloud experience — configuration and administration. Vertex - end to end installation / configuration / Setting rules / instance management
Robust understanding of U.S. sales & use tax rule structures
Experience with Boolean logic and conditional tax rule configuration in a tax engine
Instance setup and workplace management expertise
Familiarity with integrating Vertex into large-scale e-commerce or ERP environments
Understanding of U.S. marketplace facilitator legislation and its impact on tax engine configuration
Ability to work within a shared/part time consulting model, coordinating across team members

NICE TO HAVE
Vertex O Series Associate Implementer certification or equivalent
Prior experience supporting a large marketplace platform
Avalara AvaTax experience as a complementary platform
Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP integrations with Vertex
