Key Responsibilities
Manage and administer Teradata database systems in a 24×7 production workplace.
Perform user setup, role-based access control, and ensure data security and compliance.
Monitor system health, workloads, and performance using Teradata Viewpoint and TASM.
Handle backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using UNIX Shell and/or Python.
Support ETL processes and manage jobs using Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, FastExport).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytics and AI/ML teams to support data platform requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
3–7 years of hands-on experience as a Teradata DBA / Administrator.
Solid knowledge of Teradata architecture, utilities, and performance tuning.
Experience with Teradata Viewpoint and workload management (TASM).
Strong SQL skills (query optimisation,



joins, and performance tuning).
Hands-on experience with Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, FastExport).
Experience in backup & recovery, DR setup, and system monitoring.
Proficiency in UNIX Shell scripting and Python.
Hands-on experience with AWS .
Robust troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Good to Have
Basic working knowledge of Snowflake (SQL, data loading, roles/warehouses).
Exposure to data platforms supporting analytics or AI/ML workloads.
Familiarity with cloud based data environments.

Work Requirements
Willingness to work in 24×7 rotational shifts (including night shifts).
Work from Office is mandatory (4+1)
