Role Description The Checker role at Beamvex Steel Detailing is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The Checker is responsible for reviewing structural steel shop drawings, erection plans, and 3D models created in SDS2, Tekla Structures, and AutoCAD to ensure dimensional accuracy, compliance with codes and standards, and consistency with design intent. Typical tasks include cross-verifying member sizes and connections, checking load paths and grid alignment, confirming detailing practices, and coordinating with detailers and engineers to resolve discrepancies.

The role involves preparing and maintaining correction logs, tracking revisions,



and supporting quality control procedures to achieve error-free deliverables. The Checker also collaborates with project leads to meet deadlines, optimize workflows, and support continuous improvements in detailing quality and documentation.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in structural steel detailing and checking, including experience with SDS2, Tekla Structures, and AutoCAD.
- Candidates should possess skills in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, as well as knowledge of Indian and relevant international steel design and detailing standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in quality control and document review, including spotting inconsistencies, verifying dimensions, and ensuring accuracy in shop drawings and erection plans.
- Candidates should possess analytical and mathematical skills for steel member calculations, grid coordination, and basic quantity estimation.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with detailers, engineers, and project managers and to clearly document corrections and feedback.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in civil or structural engineering, or a related discipline, and prior experience in steel detailing or checking are highly beneficial.
