Role Description The Chartered Accountant Article Trainee will support audit, taxation, and accounting engagements under the guidance of senior professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and internal audits, preparing working papers and documentation, supporting tax computation and filing, and helping with GST-related tasks and compliance matters. The trainee will also assist in accounting and bookkeeping,



preparation of financial statements, and basic research on regulatory and tax issues.

This is an internship role offering practical exposure to professional standards and client service in a CA firm environment. The position is an on-site role located in Chennai, requiring regular interaction with team members and clients.

Qualifications

- Currently registered as a Chartered Accountancy student with ICAI and eligible to commence articleship training.
- Robust foundation in accounting principles, auditing concepts, taxation (direct and indirect), and financial reporting.
- Ability to work with MS Excel, Word, and basic accounting/tax software; willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
- Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear working papers and reports.
- Professional attitude with integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to meeting deadlines in a team-based environment.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to changing regulations, and take initiative in understanding client businesses and requirements.
- Prior internship or exposure in audit, accounting, or taxation (if any) is an advantage but not mandatory.
