Role Description The Breach Attack Simulation – Tech Lead is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the design, development, and execution of advanced breach and attack simulations within the KnightGuard platform. This role oversees technical strategy for simulation frameworks, defines testing methodologies, and ensures realistic emulation of threat actors across diverse environments.

The Tech

Lead collaborates closely with product management, threat research, and engineering teams to translate emerging threat intelligence into actionable simulation scenarios and platform capabilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and reviewing code, mentoring team members, conducting technical reviews, optimizing performance and scalability,



and ensuring that simulation outcomes integrate effectively into risk-centric exposure management workflows. The role also involves close interaction with customers, MSSPs, and partners to gather feedback, refine use cases, and support complex technical deployments.

Qualifications

- Robust experience with breach and attack simulation, red teaming, or offensive security, including hands-on design and implementation of realistic attack scenarios.
- Proficiency in software engineering and automation (e.g., Python, scripting, APIs, CI/CD) to build and maintain scalable simulation frameworks.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity domains such as threat modeling, MITRE ATT&CK;, network security, endpoint security, and cloud security.
- Experience leading technical teams, including mentoring, code reviews, architectural decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Background in building or integrating security products or platforms (e.g., BAS tools, CTEM, vulnerability management, SIEM/SOAR) is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex threat landscapes into structured, measurable simulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, partners, and customers in a remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., OSCP, OSWE, CISSP, CREST) are an advantage but not a requirement.
