About the Role

As Associate, Data Foundation & Governance, you will strengthen the trusted data foundations that power global People Data Analytics & Reporting. You will own the consistency, clarity, and quality of HR data across Workday, Jobvite, and connected systems. Your work will establish standardized definitions, maintain the business and metric glossary, govern master data, and document lineage and change controls.

You will partner with HRIS, reporting, Finance, and business stakeholders to identify and remediate data issues before they affect reporting, analytics, compliance, or workforce decisions. The role combines hands-on data stewardship with structured governance, requiring careful analysis, clear documentation, and disciplined follow-through. You will also help prepare HR data for a future governed data lakehouse, creating scalable foundations for reliable global workforce insight.

Key Responsibilities

- Own standardized HR data definitions and the business and metric glossary across HR, Finance, and business units, improving consistency and reducing conflicting interpretations in workforce reporting.
- Establish data quality standards, validation checks, and periodic audits across people systems, using documented controls to identify errors early and improve confidence in recurring analytics.
- Support data alignment across Workday, Jobvite, and connected HR systems, resolving inconsistencies in structures, attributes, and records that could distort workforce reporting or downstream analysis.
- Maintain master data governance for positions, organizations, cost centers, and related entities, ensuring approved ownership, definitions, and changes remain aligned with business requirements.
- Document data lineage, definitions, and change controls, creating an accessible evidence base that preserves continuity, supports audits,

and makes reporting logic easier to understand and maintain.
- Partner with HRIS on Workday architecture and configuration decisions, assessing how upstream design choices affect data quality, reporting reliability, governance, and future scalability.
- Coordinate stewardship workflows for definition changes, issue escalation, and dispute resolution, helping stakeholders reach documented decisions that protect enterprise-wide data consistency.
- Contribute to audit, compliance, and secure data-handling requirements, including GDPR awareness, while preparing governed data foundations for a future data lakehouse migration.

Essential Skills & Technologies

- 3–5 years of hands-on relevant experience in HR data management, data governance, data stewardship, or master data management, with total experience typically ranging from 4–8 years.
- Practical experience creating and maintaining data definitions, business glossaries, data dictionaries, quality rules, lineage documentation, or change-control records for HR data across functions.
- Familiarity with Workday data structures and HR domains such as positions, organizations, cost centers, headcount, and reporting hierarchies; exposure to Jobvite or similar systems is valuable.
- Strong Excel and data-analysis capability, with exposure to Alteryx preferred. You should be able to investigate data issues methodically and translate findings into actionable remediation.
- Working knowledge of data governance, data quality, master data management, secure data handling, and data protection expectations such as GDPR.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to document standards, explain data issues, and collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional stakeholders.

Additional Plus

- Experience supporting HRIS, People Analytics, reporting, Finance, or enterprise data teams in environments where definitions and master data must remain consistent across functions.
- Exposure to data lineage tooling, governed data lakehouse preparation, migration readiness, or structured stewardship and approval workflows.
- Experience working in a global organization or consulting environment with distributed stakeholders, multiple geographies, and changing business requirements.

What You'll Bring

- A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Management, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline, supported by practical experience working with enterprise or HR data.
- Hands-on ownership of data governance, data stewardship, or master data management outcomes, rather than only report production. You can define standards, establish controls, and follow issues through resolution.

- Strong attention to detail and a methodical quality mindset. You challenge ambiguous definitions, investigate root causes, document decisions, and protect the reliability of data used for workforce and business decisions.
- Understanding of HR data across functions, including positions, organizational structures, cost centers, headcount, and related workforce attributes. You can connect business meaning with system structures and reporting needs.

- Confidence working with Excel and data analysis, with the ability to review records, identify patterns, test quality, and communicate practical remediation actions. Exposure to Alteryx, Workday, Jobvite, or comparable tools is advantageous.
- Clear, structured communication and documentation skills. You can make technical or governance concepts understandable to HR, Finance, HRIS, reporting, and business stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach suited to a global, cross-functional environment.

You take ownership, manage competing inputs objectively, and contribute to governance decisions that improve trust, compliance, and scalability.

Why Join Us

This role gives you the chance to shape the data foundations behind a global workforce, rather than simply producing reports from existing information.

Your standards, controls, definitions, and stewardship decisions will influence how leaders understand people data across functions and geographies. You will work at the intersection of HR, HRIS, Finance, reporting, governance, and analytics, building experience that remains valuable as organizations modernize their data operating models.

The role also provides a direct path into future data lakehouse and enterprise governance initiatives, allowing you to contribute to scalable architecture and stronger decision support. At A&M;, you will join an entrepreneurial consulting environment where independent thinkers are encouraged to take ownership and create measurable impact. The India GCC offers exposure to global markets, multiple industries, and end-to-end delivery work rather than a narrowly transactional support model.

You will be supported through formal training, on-the-job learning, performance development, and opportunities to expand your technical and professional capabilities. Your contribution will be visible, practical, and connected to business outcomes.

What We Offer

- A high-impact opportunity to build trusted people-data foundations for a growing global consulting organization. Your work will improve reporting consistency, governance, compliance readiness, and workforce decision-making.
- Exposure to global stakeholders across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, with opportunities to partner across HR, HRIS, Finance, reporting, analytics, and business teams.
- A structured environment for continuous learning through formal training, on-the-job development, performance feedback, and opportunities to build specialized data governance expertise.
- A collaborative, inclusive, and entrepreneurial culture guided by A&M;’s values of Integrity, Quality, Objectivity, Fun, Personal Reward, and Inclusive Diversity.
