Description – Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for maintenance, repair, and optimization of production machinery and mechanical systems to ensure maximum equipment availability and production efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive Maintenance
Carry out preventive maintenance of roll forming machines, decoilers, shearing machines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical equipment.
Lubricate and inspect machinery according to maintenance schedules.
Monitor machine health and reduce wear and tear.

Breakdown Maintenance
Attend mechanical breakdowns promptly.
Repair gearboxes, bearings, shafts, rollers, conveyors, and mechanical assemblies.
Replace worn-out machine parts.

Production Support
Ensure smooth operation of production lines.
Assist production during machine setup and changeovers.
Improve machine efficiency and reduce downtime.

Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems
Maintain hydraulic power packs.
Service hydraulic cylinders, valves, and pipelines.
Maintain pneumatic cylinders and air systems.

Fabrication & Installation
Install current machinery and equipment.




Carry out fabrication and alignment work.
Perform welding and structural repairs when required.

Safety & Compliance
Follow plant safety standards and PPE requirements.
Implement LOTO procedures during maintenance.
Maintain housekeeping in maintenance areas.

Documentation
Maintain maintenance records.
Record spare parts usage.
Submit daily maintenance reports.

Continuous Improvement
Reduce machine breakdown frequency.
Improve equipment reliability.
Participate in TPM, 5S, and Kaizen activities.

Qualification
Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
ITI Fitter / Mechanical (for Technician level)

Experience
2–8 years in Steel, Roofing Sheet Manufacturing, Roll Forming, Tube Mills, or Heavy Engineering Industries.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
