Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Kafka Administrator with robust expertise in administering and supporting Apache/Confluent Kafka platforms in production environments. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Kafka cluster deployment, configuration, upgrades, security, performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, administer, and maintain Apache/Confluent Kafka clusters.
Manage Kafka brokers, topics, partitions, replication, retention policies, and consumer groups.
Perform Kafka upgrades, patching, capacity planning, cluster scaling, and disaster recovery activities.
Implement and manage Kafka security (SSL, SASL, ACLs, authentication, and authorization).




Deploy and support Kafka workloads on Azure and AKS environments.
Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers supporting Kafka infrastructure.
Monitor Kafka platform health, performance, and availability.
Provide L2/L3 production support and directly engage with clients to resolve critical issues.
Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to ensure platform stability and reliability.

Required Experience
3+ years in Kafka Administration.
Proven hands-on experience managing Apache/Confluent Kafka clusters in production.
Robust understanding of Kafka architecture, brokers, replication, partitioning, and cluster management.
Experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AKS.
Robust troubleshooting, incident management, and client-facing support skills.
