As a Software Developer at GeoIQ you'll contribute to the platform that thousands of expansion planners, analysts, and data teams rely on. You'll work across the stack - backend APIs, data pipelines, and React dashboards - shipping features that directly shape how clients experience location intelligence.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain backend APIs in Node.js or Python (FastAPI)
Develop frontend features in React with a focus on map and data-visualisation components
Design and optimise PostgreSQL schemas and queries for geospatial workloads
Write clean, tested, and well-documented code with a robust bias toward simplicity
Participate in code review, architecture discussions, and production incident response
Collaborate with data science to expose model outputs via platform APIs

Requirements




Experience with geospatial libraries (PostGIS, Turf.js, Mapbox GL)
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and containerisation (Docker, K8s)
Prior work on data-heavy dashboards or map-based UIs
2+ years in a full-stack or backend software engineering role
Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Go)
Experience with React and up-to-date frontend tooling (Vite, Webpack)
Solid PostgreSQL knowledge - schema design, indexing, query optimisation
Familiarity with REST API design and async patterns
