Job Summary

As a Data Scientist at GeoIQ you'll design and build the analytical models that underpin our platform - catchment scoring, demand estimation, network gap analysis, and competitive benchmarking. You'll work closely with clients and product to turn real-world business questions into rigorous, reproducible models.

Responsibilities
Familiarity with geospatial libraries - H3, Shapely, PostGIS
Experience with retail site selection, trade area analysis, or demand forecasting
Exposure to mobility data (GPS traces, footfall counts)
2+ years in a data science or analytics role
Solid Python - Pandas, GeoPandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib/seaborn
Solid understanding of statistical modelling and spatial analysis
Experience working with large real-world datasets - messy data, missing values, outliers
Ability to communicate model results clearly to non-technical stakeholders




Build spatial analytics models - demand estimation, catchment scoring, competitive analysis
Develop and maintain client-facing model outputs and reports
Conduct exploratory analysis on mobility, POI, and demographic datasets to surface recent signals
Collaborate with engineering to productionise models and integrate into the GeoIQ platform
Support client onboarding by customising models to brand-specific inputs and benchmarks
Write explicit technical documentation for models and methodology
