Café Coffee Day's menu consists of different cuisines . The job responsibility of this role is to keep a track of global and local food trends, create new food products and implement best practises in the industry.

ResponsibilitiesNew Product Development: Create new food products based on global trendsCompetition Review: Competitor tracking for products, best practisesProduct library: Trials and recipe documentation of foodProduct Costing: Costing and margin analysis of current productsSOP and Training Content: Content creation for training of new productsTraining: Train the trainer programmes and staff training for recent productsVendor Management: Work with external vendors and suppliers to source ingredients-breads, desserts, gravies, sauces , fillings , seasonings for new product developmentCost Management: Monitor and manage product costs. Continuous work on improving product costs through alternate ingredients and current vendorsProcess enhancement:



Identify opportunities of process and equipment improvement and enhancement in the systemQuality Control: Work closely with the QA team for product related closures-Product Specifications, SOP's, Nutritional Information, AllergensOverall, the current product development manager/asst manager plays a crucial role in current product development, competitor review and tracking global trends, cost management, vendor management and process enhancement

Qualifications

Bachelor in Hotel Management6-15 years experience in Hotel / QSR innovationsStrong verbal or written communication skillsHot kitchen with well versed with cuisines of continental , American , Oriental , IndianTechnical knowledge of frozen foods, science of cookingOpen to travel PAN India
