Job Purpose

To create a nurturing, stimulating and inquiry-rich learning workplace that supports the holistic development of young learners. The Early Years Teacher will facilitate play-based and concept-driven learning in alignment with IB Early Years principles, encouraging curiosity, independence, creativity and social-emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate, play-based and inquiry-based learning experiences for Kindergarten students.
Develop engaging learning experiences around concepts, themes and real-world connections.
Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical and language development.
Create a secure, inclusive and stimulating classroom setting that encourages exploration and independent learning.




Observe students closely and use observations to understand their interests, strengths and learning needs.
Document and assess student learning through observations, portfolios, learning stories and other age-appropriate assessment methods.
Encourage students to develop communication, collaboration, creativity, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Integrate stories, art, music, movement, sensory activities, outdoor learning and hands-on experiences into classroom practice.
Foster the development of IB Learner Profile attributes and age-appropriate approaches to learning.
Differentiate learning experiences to address diverse learning needs and abilities.
Maintain regular and constructive communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and development.
Collaborate with the Early Years Coordinator, teachers, learning support staff and other stakeholders.
Maintain appropriate classroom records, student document
