Role Overview : Dayananda Sagar University is looking for an experienced Media & Public Relations skilled to strengthen the University’s media presence, public image and external communications, with a particular focus on its international initiatives and global engagement.

The ideal candidate should have solid relationships with local, regional international media, and be experienced in working directly with journalists, editors, press agencies and media organisations.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain robust relationships with local and international press and media houses.
Build a strong media network covering education, higher education, international affairs and institutional developments.
Identify and create opportunities for positive media coverage of University initiatives, achievements and international collaborations.
Prepare and coordinate press releases, media briefs, press notes and institutional announcements.
Coordinate media interactions, interviews, press conferences and media visits.
Liaise with journalists,



editors and media representatives for news coverage and feature stories.
Support the International Affairs team in promoting international partnerships, global events, visiting delegations, student/faculty exchange programmes and international initiatives.
Coordinate with senior University leadership for media communications and public statements.
Handle media queries and ensure timely and accurate communication.
Monitor print, digital and international media coverage and maintain media reports.
Develop compelling institutional stories and content for external communication.
Support reputation management and crisis communication when required.

Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mass communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Media Studies or a related discipline.
Master’s degree in the above fields will be preferred.
5–8+ years of relevant experience in Media Relation
