Job Purpose

To supervise and control day-to-day Green Sand Moulding operations, ensuring production targets, mould quality, productivity, manpower utilization, safety, and minimum rejection levels are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily Green Sand Moulding production activities and ensure production targets are achieved as per the plan.
- Handle and monitor automatic/semi-automatic moulding machines and related equipment.
- Ensure proper moulding parameters such as sand moisture, compactability, permeability, hardness and mould quality are maintained.
- Monitor sand preparation, sand return, sand mixing and sand conditioning processes.
- Ensure proper pattern setting, mould box alignment, mould closing and core placement.
- Identify and control moulding defects such as:
- Blow holes
- Sand inclusion
- Mould shift
- Scab
- Drop
- Fin
- Short mould
- Mismatch
- Coordinate with Melting, Core Shop, Fettling, Quality and Maintenance departments for smooth production.
- Monitor rejection and rework and take corrective action to reduce moulding-related defects.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, moulding sand and consumables.




- Allocate manpower according to production requirements and monitor worker performance.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices in the moulding area.
- Ensure workers follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Maintain production records, rejection reports, downtime records and other moulding-related documents.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance of moulding equipment.
- Train and guide moulding operators and helpers on machine operation, quality requirements and safety practices.
- Conduct shift-wise inspection and handover to ensure continuity of production.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring moulding problems.
- Ensure production is carried out according to approved process standards and quality requirements.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Foundry Technology / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Additional foundry-related technical qualification will be an advantage

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
