WE’RE HIRING: GENERAL MANAGER – PRE-OPENING & OPERATIONS

RIVA Hotel & Events | Supaul, Bihar

RIVA Hotel & Events is an upcoming event-focused hotel and hospitality destination in Supaul, Bihar, being developed in phases with a strong focus on weddings, celebrations, social events and quality guest accommodation.

We are looking for a hands-on General Manager who can lead the property through its pre-opening phase and subsequently take end-to-end responsibility for operations, revenue, guest experience and profitability.

This is not a desk-only GM role. The successful candidate should be comfortable building systems, teams and operations from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead complete pre-opening and operational readiness
- Develop SOPs, workflows and service standards
- Recruit, train and manage a lean, high-performing team
- Set up Front Office, Housekeeping, Event/F&B; Operations, Engineering, Security and support functions
- Work closely with ownership during construction and interiors to identify operational requirements before opening
- Lead wedding, banquet and social-event operations
- Drive hotel, banquet and event revenues
- Develop local corporate, wedding-planner, travel-agent and business relationships
- Manage pricing, packages, budgets, procurement, cost controls and MIS reporting
- Oversee OTAs, online reputation, enquiries, CRM/WhatsApp follow-up and digital lead conversion
- Maintain strong guest-service, hygiene and property standards




- Take ownership of P&L;, revenue growth, costs and profitability
- Support the property’s phased development and future operational expansion

Candidate Requirements

- 7–10+ years of hospitality experience, including at least 2–3 years in a hotel leadership role such as General Manager, Hotel Manager, Operations Manager or EAM
- Strong hands-on exposure to weddings, banquets, social events and hotel operations
- Pre-opening experience preferred
- Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred; candidates from other educational backgrounds with strong relevant hotel experience may also apply
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, revenue generation and team management
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working directly with ownership in an independent hotel environment
- Must be willing to relocate to and be based full-time in Supaul, Bihar

Preference will be given to candidates who have independently handled a hotel/resort operation and substantial wedding or banquet business.
