- certification or training as a Dialysis Technician (requirements vary by region)
- Knowledge of dialysis equipment and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Prepare and operate dialysis machines before, during, and after treatments
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition during dialysis
- Set up, clean, disinfect, and maintain dialysis equipment
- Record treatment data accurately in patient charts
- Follow strict infection control and safety procedures
- Respond promptly to complications or patient discomfort
- Educate patients on dialysis procedures and basic care guidelines
- Assist healthcare staff as needed in patient care activities
