SEO Specialist (WordPress)

Job Location: Delhi NCR (Preferred) / Remote

Salary: ₹5,000 – ₹8,000 per month

## About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on, result-oriented SEO Specialist with strong WordPress knowledge to independently manage and execute SEO activities for our online business.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling On-Page SEO, Technical SEO, Keyword Research, Content Optimization, Off-Page SEO, Local SEO, competitor analysis, and SEO reporting with minimal supervision.

## Key Responsibilities

### On-Page & Content SEO

- Optimize website pages, H1-H6, title tags, meta descriptions, URLs, image alt tags, and content.

- Conduct keyword research and create keyword mapping for existing and new pages.

- Improve internal linking, content structure, readability, and search intent alignment.

- Upload, edit, format, and optimize content directly in WordPress.

- Implement basic schema/structured data where required.

### Technical SEO

- Conduct regular SEO audits and identify technical issues.

- Monitor and resolve broken links, crawl/indexing issues, duplicate content, redirects, canonical tags, XML sitemap and robots.txt issues.

- Monitor basic site speed, mobile usability and Core Web Vitals.

- Identify and fix common WordPress SEO issues.

### Off-Page SEO

- Develop and execute safe, white-hat link-building strategies.

- Perform competitor backlink and link-gap analysis.

- Manage relevant guest-post outreach, business citations and other quality link opportunities.

- No spam, PBNs, automated backlinks or black-hat SEO practices.

### Competitor & Local SEO

- Track competitor keywords, content and backlink opportunities.





- Optimize and maintain Google Business Profile for local visibility.

- Identify new keyword and organic growth opportunities.

### Analytics & Reporting

- Monitor Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4.

- Track organic traffic, clicks, impressions, CTR, keyword rankings, indexed pages and conversions.

- Provide weekly SEO performance updates with completed tasks, issues and next actions.

## Required Skills

- Strong practical knowledge of SEO fundamentals and search intent.

- Hands-on experience with WordPress.

- Experience with Yoast SEO or Rank Math.

- Working knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4 and Google Business Profile.

- Familiarity with Ahrefs, SEMrush, Ubersuggest, Screaming Frog, Google Keyword Planner and PageSpeed Insights.

- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is preferred.

- Good written and verbal communication.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and take ownership.

## Experience & Qualifications

- 1–3 years of practical SEO experience preferred.

- Freshers with robust internship, live project or practical SEO experience may also apply.

- Digital marketing/SEO certification is an advantage.

- Delhi NCR candidates preferred; remote candidates may apply.
