About the Role

APV Resources Pvt. Ltd., part of the Spartek Group, is looking for an

experienced Plant Head to take complete responsibility for the operations of

our ceramic tableware manufacturing facility in the Tirupati / Tada region of

Andhra Pradesh.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in ceramic

products or related mineral-based industries, particularly in

a continuous/process manufacturing environment, with proven experience in

managing the complete operations of a manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Take end-to-end responsibility for plant operations, production,

productivity, quality, cost and delivery.

- Plan and manage production in line with business requirements and

ensure achievement of production targets.

- Manage and coordinate all major plant functions including Production,

Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Stores, Safety, HR/Manpower and

Operations.

- Optimise plant capacity, manpower, machinery, raw materials and

utilities to improve productivity and efficiency.

- Monitor and improve OEE, yield, throughput, rejection, wastage and

process losses.

- Ensure adherence to production processes, SOPs, quality standards and

critical process parameters.

- Work closely with Quality and Technical teams to identify root causes

and resolve production and quality issues.

- Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance to ensure high

equipment availability and minimum downtime.

- Drive initiatives for cost reduction, energy efficiency, process

improvement and manufacturing productivity.

- Ensure effective manpower planning, shift management, team

development and operational discipline.

- Ensure compliance with EHS, statutory, labour and factory regulations.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Stores to ensure uninterrupted

availability of raw materials, consumables,



packaging materials and

engineering spares.

- Establish and monitor plant-level KPIs, MIS and performance

dashboards.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing,

Kaizen, 5S, TPM and other operational excellence practices.

- Support management in capacity expansion, current machinery

installation, commissioning and new product development.

Candidate Profile

Experience

- 10–15 years of overall manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 5 years in managerial / plant leadership roles.
- Strong experience in ceramic products, tableware or related mineral-

based industries.

- Experience in a continuous/process-oriented manufacturing

environment is essential.

- Candidates with experience in ceramic tableware, sanitaryware, tiles,

refractories, glass or other mineral-based industries will be preferred.

- Should have experience managing multiple departments and complete

plant operations, rather than production alone.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Ceramic / Mechanical / Chemical / Production /

Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.

- Postgraduate qualification in Operations / Manufacturing / Management

will be an advantage.
