Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and result-oriented Maintenance Engineer – Injection Moulding to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of injection moulding machines, auxiliary equipment, and plant utilities.

The incumbent will be responsible for preventive, predictive, breakdown and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, minimizing machine downtime, and improving overall equipment reliability and availability.

Key Responsibilities
1. Injection Moulding Machine Maintenance

- Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines.
- Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum production downtime.
- Conduct routine inspection of machines and identify potential equipment failures.
- Troubleshoot and rectify machine-related mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues.
- Maintain injection unit, clamping unit, hydraulic systems, lubrication systems, cooling systems and related machine components.
- Monitor machine operating parameters and identify abnormal conditions.

2. Hydraulic & Pneumatic Maintenance

- Troubleshoot hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, pressure circuits and hydraulic piping.
- Diagnose and rectify hydraulic pressure and flow-related issues.
- Maintain pneumatic systems, FRLs, solenoid valves, cylinders, air lines and related components.
- Identify leakage, pressure fluctuations and other pneumatic/hydraulic abnormalities.

3. Electrical & PLC Troubleshooting





- Troubleshoot electrical control circuits, motors, contactors, relays, sensors, heaters and thermocouples.
- Diagnose machine alarms and electrical faults.
- Perform basic PLC troubleshooting and fault identification.
- Troubleshoot proximity sensors, limit switches, temperature controllers and other machine instrumentation.
- Coordinate with electrical/automation specialists for complex PLC and control-system issues.

4. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

- Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules as per machine manufacturer recommendations and plant requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance activities.
- Maintain machine maintenance history and service records.
- Monitor equipment condition and identify potential failures before breakdown.
- Analyze recurring failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.

5. Breakdown & Downtime Management

- Attend machine breakdowns promptly and restore equipment to normal operating condition.
- Analyze breakdown causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Monitor machine downtime and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain breakdown reports and track recurring problems.
- Work towards improving MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and reducing MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).

6. Spare Parts & Maintenance Materials

- Identify critical spare parts required for injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Maintain adequate stock of critical maintenance spares.




- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase teams for timely availability of spares.
- Ensure proper utilization and control of maintenance consumables and spare parts.

7. Production Coordination

- Coordinate closely with the Production team for planned maintenance activities.
- Plan maintenance activities to minimize production interruptions.
- Provide technical support during machine start-up and production-related issues.
- Support production during machine-related quality or process problems when required.

8. Safety, 5S & Compliance

- Follow all plant safety procedures and maintenance safety standards.
- Ensure proper LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) practices during maintenance activities.
- Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards in the maintenance area.
- Ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Use appropriate PPE and ensure safe handling of tools and equipment.

9. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain preventive maintenance records and machine history cards.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance reports.
- Record breakdown details, root causes, corrective actions and downtime.
- Maintain records of spare-parts consumption and maintenance activities.
- Support preparation and monitoring of maintenance-related KPIs.

Preferred Experience

- Hands-on experience in maintenance of plastic injection moulding machines.
- Experience in automotive or plastic component manufacturing will be an added advantage.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and PLC-based machine systems.
- Exposure to injection moulding auxiliaries such as chillers, dryers, mould temperature controllers, cooling towers and compressors will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
