Position Overview

- Job Title: Horticulture / Green Highway Expert (Consultant/Specialist)
- Department: Environment & Plantation Division / Regional Office, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)
- Objective: Plan, execute, supervise, and monitor large-scale avenue plantation, median greening, slope stabilization, and landscape beautification along assigned National Highway stretches in compliance with the Green Highways Policy.

Key Responsibilities

- Plantation Planning & Design: Design site-specific landscaping and plantation plans (medians, avenues, and embankment slopes) based on local climatic, soil, and regional conditions.
- Species Selection: Prioritize indigenous, hardy, and utility/fruit-bearing or high carbon-sequestration tree/shrub species (such as regional timber, shade, and edible landscape varieties).
- Execution & Supervision: Oversee work executed by contractors, concessionaires, or private plantation agencies, ensuring survival rates meet contract Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
