- Production Planning: Execute daily and weekly manufacturing schedules to achieve output goals and delivery timelines.
- Shop Floor Supervision: Monitor 3-axis and 4-axis VMC machine operations, cycle times, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Quality Control: Oversee first-piece approvals, in-process inspections, and rejection reduction initiatives.
- Team Management: Allocate shift duties, mentor operators, and train staff on safe working habits.
- Process Optimization: Troubleshoot technical machining issues, optimize cutting parameters, and reduce setup times.
- Maintenance & Safety: Ensure preventive maintenance of machinery and enforce 5S housekeeping and safety protocols on the shop floor.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in a CNC/VMC machine shop, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Robust knowledge of G-code/M-code programming, blueprint reading, and GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Soft Skills: Problem-solving abilities, team leadership, and cross-functional coordination with quality and maintenance departments.
