Job Description

RABS Manufacturing Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Production In-Charge to manage and oversee day-to-day production operations at our injection moulding facility.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in injection moulding production, production planning, machine utilization, manpower management, process monitoring and troubleshooting. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are achieved while maintaining the required quality, productivity and safety standards.

The role requires a practical factory-oriented professional who can independently manage production activities and coordinate effectively with Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Management.

Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day production activities across injection moulding machines.
- Plan and monitor production schedules based on customer requirements and production priorities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned time.
- Monitor machine utilization, cycle time, output, downtime and rejection levels.
- Supervise operators, helpers and production personnel.
- Allocate manpower and machines according to production requirements.
- Monitor start-up, changeover and production activities.
- Ensure correct mould, material and process parameters are used for each production order.
- Monitor injection moulding parameters and identify process abnormalities.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to control rejection, defects and rework.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.




- Coordinate with Stores for timely availability of raw materials, colour/masterbatch, consumables and other production requirements.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize material wastage.
- Identify recurring production problems and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor rejection, rework and production losses and take appropriate action.
- Maintain daily production reports and other manufacturing records.
- Ensure proper implementation of work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure production activities are carried out safely and systematically.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and discipline on the shop floor.
- Support process improvement and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Participate in trials for new moulds, materials and products.
- Coordinate with management regarding production status, issues and requirements.
- Ensure smooth shift-to-shift handover and communication.
- Train and guide production operators wherever required.

Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Plastics, Mechatronics or a relevant technical discipline preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong practical knowledge of injection moulding machines and production processes.
- Experience in handling production teams and shop-floor operations.
- Positive understanding of mould changeover, machine setting, cycle time and production monitoring.
- Knowledge of common injection moulding defects and their production-related causes.
- Ability to monitor production efficiency, rejection and downtime.
- Good problem-solving and team-management skills.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment will be preferred.
