Scope of responsibilities

The position would cover:

- Inspection, measurement and technical assessment of crankshafts, main engines, compressors, hydraulic pumps/motors and other marine machinery.
- The candidate must have worked in a similar role and must have a minimum experience between 10-15 years in a similar role.
- Dimensional inspection and verification against OEM specifications and permissible tolerances.
- Calibration and verification of measuring and inspection equipment.
- Supervision and technical monitoring of machinery dismantling, inspection, repair and reconditioning.
- Inspection and quality verification of reconditioned equipment prior to dispatch.
- Preparation of technical inspection, measurement and condition-assessment reports.
- Identification of defects, wear, damage and potential causes of failure.
- Technical guidance to workshop technicians during repair and reconditioning activities.
- Visits to vessels, shipyards, workshops and customer premises along with GumaTech technicians, as and when instructed by Management.
- Participation in on-board installation,



commissioning, inspection, troubleshooting, assessment, repair and maintenance activities.
- Technical assessment of machinery and equipment installed on vessels and recommendations for repair, replacement or reconditioning.
- Supervision of technicians during field assignments and verification of completed work.
- Liaison with vessel personnel, Chief Engineers, Superintendents, shipyards and customers during technical assignments.
- Providing technical inputs for quotations, equipment procurement and customer requirements.
- Supporting Management in technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
- Maintaining proper records of inspections, measurements, repairs, calibration and field-service activities.
- Carrying out any other technical assignments related to marine machinery as directed by Management.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
