Junior Fashion Faculty

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and creative Junior Fashion Faculty to join our Fashion Design department. The candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging classroom and practical sessions, guiding students in design and fashion-related projects, supporting academic activities, and maintaining a positive and professional learning environment.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in fashion design, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow as an educator.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct theory and practical classes for Fashion Design students as per the prescribed curriculum.

Teach and demonstrate fundamentals of Fashion Design, Illustration, Pattern Making, Garment Construction, Textiles, Draping, Fashion Styling, and related subjects as applicable.

Prepare lesson plans, presentations, assignments, practical exercises, and study materials.

Provide individual guidance and feedback to students on their academic and creative projects.

Assist students in developing design concepts, mood boards, colour boards, design sheets, portfolios, and collections.

Conduct practical demonstrations and workshops wherever required.

Evaluate student assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations fairly and within the given timelines.

Maintain students' academic records, attendance, assessment sheets, and daily class documentation.

Participate in internal assessments, examinations, jury evaluations, exhibitions, fashion shows, workshops, and institute events.





Assist the HOD and Academic Coordinator in implementing academic schedules and departmental activities.

Keep students updated with current fashion trends, industry practices, materials, techniques, and developments in the fashion industry.

Encourage students to undertake research, experimentation, and innovative design approaches.

Coordinate with other faculty members for interdisciplinary projects and academic activities.

Maintain discipline and professionalism within the classroom and studio environment.

Support the department in student mentoring, academic counselling, and placement-related activities when required.

Perform other academic and departmental responsibilities assigned by the HOD or Academic Coordinator.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design / Fashion Technology / Apparel Design / Textile Design or a related field.

A Master's degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline will be an added advantage.

Relevant teaching or industry experience is preferred; freshers with strong academic portfolios may also be considered.

Robust knowledge of fashion design fundamentals and practical processes.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of fashion design and garment development.

Good understanding of fashion illustration, pattern making, garment construction, textiles, draping, and styling.

Good communication and presentation skills.

Ability to explain technical and creative concepts effectively.

Strong creative and conceptual thinking.

Student-friendly approach with good mentoring skills.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administrative teams.

Basic proficiency in relevant fashion/design software will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
