As a Career Development Facilitator at Lighthouse, you will work closely with underserved youth across multiple Lighthouse Centres, helping them discover what they are capable of, understand the world of work, and choose skilling pathways that move them closer to their goals.

Your Role: More Than a Facilitator

As a Career Development Facilitator, you will be the person who helps young people connect the dots:

Who am I? → What am I good at? → What are my options? → What do I want to pursue? → What do I need to get there?

You will facilitate the Lighthouse Foundation Course, conduct career assessments and counselling, and guide students towards skilling pathways that align with their interests, strengths, and aspirations.

This is a field-first role. You will regularly travel across Lighthouse Centres within your assigned region and work directly with diverse groups of young people.

What You Will Do

Facilitate Learning That Matters

- Facilitate the Lighthouse Foundation Course for newly enrolled youth across assigned centres.
- Conduct engaging sessions on life skills, self-awareness, career readiness, workplace readiness, and personal development.
- Facilitate groups of approximately 25–30 participants.
- Create a learning environment where young people feel comfortable asking questions, expressing themselves,



and exploring their future.

Help Young People Navigate Career Choices

- Conduct career assessments to help students understand their interests, strengths, and aspirations.
- Conduct one-on-one career counselling and guidance sessions.
- Help students explore different career and skilling possibilities.
- Guide young people towards appropriate courses and pathways based on their goals and potential.
- Help students make informed career decisions, rather than decisions based only on external expectations.

Build Confidence Along the Way

Career development isn't only about choosing a course.

It is also about helping young people believe they can take the next step.

You will build trust, encourage participation, support self-awareness, and help students develop the confidence and agency they need to navigate their career journey.

Follow the Journey

- Track student attendance, participation, and progress throughout the Foundation Course.
- Maintain accurate records of career assessments and counselling sessions.
- Document student progress and relevant interventions.
- Use insights from the field to strengthen student engagement and program delivery.

Work as One Team

- Collaborate closely with Lighthouse Centre teams to ensure smooth program implementation.
- Support student engagement and centre-level activities.
- Contribute to other program initiatives as required.
- Share field insights and ideas that can improve the student experience.

Who Can Apply?

We welcome candidates with:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Training, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduates from other disciplines with relevant facilitation, counselling, training, or youth engagement experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Freshers with relevant internship experience in counselling, facilitation, training, or youth engagement are welcome.

Experience & Skills

Ideally, you will have:

- 1–2 years of experience in facilitation, career counselling, training, youth development, or a related area.




- Experience facilitating groups of 25–30 participants.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Good listening and counselling skills.
- Empathy and a genuine interest in working with young people.
- Good documentation and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in the regional language, Hindi, and English.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the assigned region.
