Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Handbag Merchandiser to manage the end-to-end merchandising and product development process for handbags and accessories. The role will involve sourcing, product development, costing, sampling, vendor coordination, production follow-up, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end merchandising activities for handbags and accessories.
- Source and develop handbags across different materials, including leather, PU, synthetic and other relevant materials.
- Identify and coordinate with suitable domestic and international vendors.
- Manage product development from initial concept through sampling and production.
- Coordinate with Design teams to develop products as per specifications and market requirements.
- Prepare and maintain tech packs, BOMs, sample trackers and product specifications.




- Coordinate sampling, revisions, approvals and finalization of products.
- Negotiate product costing, pricing, MOQ and delivery timelines with vendors.
- Follow up with vendors on production progress and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with Quality teams to ensure products meet defined quality standards.
- Resolve product development, quality and production-related issues.
- Monitor product timelines and proactively follow up on delays.
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify new trends and product opportunities.
- Maintain accurate merchandising and vendor documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

- Experience in Handbag / Accessories Merchandising.
- Strong understanding of handbag product development and manufacturing.
- Knowledge of leather, PU, synthetic and related materials.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Experience with costing, sampling, tech packs and BOMs.
- Strong production follow-up and coordination skills.
- Good understanding of quality standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.

Education

Graduate in Fashion, Design, Merchandising, Business or a related field.

Experience in handbags, accessories, fashion or lifestyle products will be preferred
