- Greet guests as they enter the establishment with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage waiting lists and reservations using the restaurant’s reservation system.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient seating and table turnover.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk, waiting area, and entrance.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding reservations, hours, and menu items.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to a manager when necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of the restaurant layout, menu, specials, and events.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the hostess station at the beginning and end of each shift.
