Role Summary

The Academic Counselor is the first point of contact for prospective students and parents. You will reach out to leads, guide them on programs, eligibility, fees and career outcomes, and move them through the admission funnel from inquiry to enrollment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead handling and telecalling

- Make 60-80 outbound calls daily to inquiries, database leads, campaign leads and referrals
- Respond promptly to inbound calls, WhatsApp and email inquiries
- Follow up consistently and maintain a healthy call-to-counseling conversion rate

Counseling and guidance

- Understand each student's background, goals and concerns, and recommend the most suitable program
- Explain curriculum, specializations, placements, fee structure, scholarships and admission process clearly and honestly
- Handle objections on fees, location, brand and career prospects
- Counsel parents where needed and build trust with them

Admission conversion

- Schedule campus visits, virtual counseling sessions and webinars
- Guide applicants through registration, entrance tests/interviews, document submission and fee payment
- Follow up on applicants until enrollment is complete

Reporting and CRM

- Update every interaction accurately in the CRM daily




- Track leads, follow-ups and pipeline status
- Share daily and weekly reports on calls, counseling sessions, applications and admissions

Targets and KPIs

- Daily calls
- Lead-to-counseling and counseling-to-application conversion
- Number of applications and confirmed admissions
- Follow-up discipline and CRM accuracy
- Student and parent satisfaction

Required Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline (MBA/PGDM preferred for senior counselor roles)
- 1-3 years of experience in telecalling, education counseling, admissions or inside sales

Skills and Competencies

- Excellent communication in English and Hindi
- Persuasive, empathetic and confident on the phone
- Active listening and consultative selling
- Target orientation, persistence and resilience
- Working knowledge of CRM tools, MS Excel and Google Workspace
- Ethical conduct, with no misleading commitments on placements or fees

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
