We are expanding our procurement and sourcing operation from our Kochi office and are looking for a highly commercial and result-oriented Buyer / Purchaser.

Job Objective

The Buyer / Purchaser will be responsible for sourcing industrial products, equipment, materials and services against enquiries received from customers, EPC contractors, ADNOC-related projects, utilities, government entities and industrial clients.

This is not only a purchase-order processing role.

The person must be able to:

Receive enquiry → Understand requirement → Find manufacturers/suppliers → Obtain quotations → Negotiate → Prepare comparison → Support quotation submission → Follow up supplier → Support order execution.

Key Responsibilities1. Industrial Sourcing

- Source industrial products, equipment, spare parts and materials from UAE, India, Europe, USA, China and other international markets.
- Identify manufacturers, OEMs, distributors and authorized suppliers.
- Source products even when Vortexen does not have an existing supplier.
- Find technically equivalent alternatives where permitted.
- Develop multiple sourcing options for every important enquiry.

2. RFQ & Enquiry Management

- Review RFQs, BOQs, specifications, drawings, datasheets and technical requirements.
- Understand customer requirements before sending supplier enquiries.
- Send RFQs to appropriate manufacturers and suppliers.
- Obtain technical and commercial quotations within the required deadline.
- Maintain complete enquiry and supplier follow-up records.

3. Tender & EPC Support

Support sourcing requirements related to:

- ADNOC projects
- Oil & Gas EPC contractors
- Power and utility companies
- Nuclear projects
- DEWA / SEWA / TAQA-related requirements
- Marine and offshore projects
- Construction and infrastructure
- Industrial plants and maintenance projects

Monitor tender and sourcing requirements and ensure quotations are received before bid deadlines.

4. Supplier Development

- Identify new manufacturers and suppliers.
- Verify supplier credibility.
- Develop relationships with OEMs and distributors.
- Negotiate pricing, discounts,



payment terms and delivery.
- Request dealership or project authorization where required.
- Maintain an approved supplier database.

5. Commercial Negotiation

Negotiate:

- Purchase price
- Distributor discounts
- Project pricing
- Payment terms
- Delivery schedules
- Freight
- Incoterms
- Warranty
- Validity
- Minimum order quantities
- Manufacturer authorization
- Technical documentation

The objective is not simply to obtain a quotation.

The objective is to obtain the best technically compliant offer with maximum commercial margin for Vortexen.

6. Technical & Commercial Comparison

Prepare clear comparison sheets covering:

- Manufacturer
- Brand
- Country of origin
- Technical compliance
- Unit price
- Total price
- Delivery
- Payment terms
- Warranty
- Freight
- Incoterms
- Validity
- Deviations
- Vortexen expected margin

Escalate technical deviations before quotation submission.

7. Procurement & Order Execution

After receiving an order:

- Obtain final supplier quotation.
- Negotiate final pricing.
- Prepare purchase request / purchase order.
- Coordinate payment requirements.
- Monitor manufacturing and delivery.
- Coordinate shipping and logistics teams.
- Track documentation.
- Follow up until materials are delivered successfully.

8. OEM & Manufacturer Development

Identify manufacturers that may benefit from Vortexen representation in:

- UAE
- Saudi Arabia
- GCC

Potential opportunities should be shared with the Vortexen Sales and Business Development team for OEM representation discussions.

Candidate RequirementsMandatory

- Minimum 2–5 years experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Buyer, Industrial Sourcing or Supply Chain.
- Experience sourcing industrial or engineering products.
- Strong internet-based supplier and manufacturer research skills.
- Good commercial negotiation ability.
- Ability to understand technical RFQs and specifications.




- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Robust written English.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
- Strong follow-up discipline.
- Ability to work under tender deadlines.

We need someone who can actively find suppliers when no supplier is known.

For every serious enquiry:

Target minimum 3 technically suitable supplier quotations wherever commercially practical.

Urgent enquiries must be prioritized immediately.
