SafeEar Listener (independent, online)
The role: Hold private one-to-one conversations, by text or audio, with adults who want to feel heard. This is listening and emotional companionship, not therapy, medical advice, or crisis help.
What you'd do
- Accept client session requests (text timers start at your first reply)
- Listen patiently and without judgement in short 15-minute sessions
- Keep your profile honest, including your languages and a short description
- Keep conversations private and never record calls
- Avoid diagnosing, promising results, or meeting clients outside the platform
- If someone may be in danger, encourage them to contact emergency services or someone nearby
Who fits
- 18 or older
- Comfortable in one or more of the site's languages (Hindi, English, Punjabi, Marathi and more)
- Calm, patient, better at listening than advising
- A quiet, private space and steady internet
