Job Summary

SS Hyundai is looking for an experienced and responsible Floor In-Charge to supervise and coordinate day-to-day workshop floor operations. The ideal candidate should have strong automobile service knowledge, good team-handling skills, and the ability to ensure timely completion and quality delivery of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage daily workshop floor operations.
- Allocate service and repair jobs to technicians based on skill and workload.
- Monitor the progress of all vehicles under repair and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, Technicians, Parts and other workshop teams.
- Monitor technician productivity, efficiency and bay utilization.
- Ensure proper diagnosis, repair quality and adherence to Hyundai service standards.
- Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) and minimize delays in vehicle delivery.
- Inspect completed jobs and ensure quality before vehicle delivery.
- Identify and resolve technical or operational issues on the workshop floor.
- Control rework and repeat repairs by ensuring proper repair procedures.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
- Maintain discipline, safety and cleanliness on the workshop floor.




- Support the Service Manager in achieving workshop productivity and customer satisfaction targets.
- Prepare and maintain daily workshop performance reports.

Requirements

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in automobile service/workshop operations.
- Automobile dealership experience preferred.
- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle service and repair procedures.
- Good leadership and team-handling skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Positive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-oriented workshop environment.
