About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Merchandiser to join our high-fashion garment export house. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of garment merchandising, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage orders from development through production and shipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle merchandising activities from product development to final shipment.
- Coordinate with buyers/brands regarding styles, specifications, costing, sampling, approvals, and production timelines.
- Prepare and follow up on T&A; (Time & Action) calendars to ensure timely order execution.
- Coordinate with design, sampling, production, sourcing, quality, and finishing teams.
- Follow up on fabric, trims, accessories, embroidery, printing, washing, and other production requirements.
- Review tech packs, measurement specifications, BOMs, artwork, and buyer comments.
- Manage sample development including proto, fit, size set, PP and shipment samples.
- Prepare and negotiate costing in coordination with internal teams and suppliers.
- Maintain regular communication with buyers and provide timely updates on order status.
- Monitor production progress and proactively identify and resolve delays or quality-related issues.
- Ensure orders are produced according to buyer specifications, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with the quality team for inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.




- Maintain accurate merchandising records, order sheets, approvals, and buyer correspondence.
- Coordinate with the commercial/export team for documentation and shipment follow-up.
- Ensure smooth execution of multiple styles/orders simultaneously.

Candidate Profile

- 3+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably with a high-fashion garment export house.
- Strong understanding of woven/knit garment manufacturing and export processes.
- Experience working with international buyers/brands will be preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong follow-up, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to understand tech packs, garment specifications, measurements, and construction details.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines.
- Should be proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced export environment.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
