We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Fabrication Fitter to join our Fabrication team. The candidate will be responsible for fitting, assembling, and preparing fabricated components as per engineering drawings and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fabrication fitting and assembly work as per engineering drawings.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and fabrication specifications.
- Mark, measure, and prepare materials for fabrication.
- Perform fit-up, alignment, and tack welding preparation.
- Assemble sheet metal and structural components accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, grinding, and fitting operations.
- Check component dimensions and alignment using measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with welders and supervisors to ensure smooth fabrication activities.
- Identify and report fitting defects and dimensional issues.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and follow 5S practices.
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Achieve production targets while maintaining quality standards.
Eligibility & Skills
- Qualification: ITI Fitter / Welder / Mechanical Trade preferred.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in fabrication fitting preferred.
- Knowledge of fabrication, fit-up, and assembly operations.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Basic knowledge of welding preparation and alignment.
- Ability to work in a team and follow supervisor instructions.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
- Positive discipline, safety awareness, and work attitude.
