Job title: Lifeguard — Swimming Pool

Location: Hadapsar & Kalyani Nagar

Schedule: 6 days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays. Monday off. Morning and evening shifts.

About the role

Waveline Sports is the Master Franchise for the Michael Phelps Swimming Program in India, operating 34 centres across Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Indore and Kolkata.

We are looking for a lifeguard to supervise the pool at our centre during all operating hours. Most of our swimmers are children, many of them beginners. This is a role where attention matters more than anything else.

What you will do

- Maintain active supervision of the pool at all times during operating hours
- Enforce pool rules — entry and exit discipline, deep-end restrictions, no running on deck
- Respond immediately to any incident in or around the water
- Perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR when required
- Maintain headcount awareness during every batch
- Check that rescue equipment, first aid kit and emergency access are ready before each session
- Complete and sign daily safety logs
- Report any hazard — slippery deck, damaged tiles, water clarity, equipment faults — the same day
- Support coaches during batches and assist with entry and exit of young children

What we are looking for

- Solid swimming ability and confidence in deep water




- Lifesaving certification is strongly preferred. Candidates without it may be considered but must complete certification through us within an agreed timeframe, and will not supervise the pool alone until certified.
- Current first aid and CPR training, or willingness to complete it immediately
- Alert, disciplined, and able to stay focused through a full shift without distraction
- Calm and clear in an emergency
- Comfortable around young children and firm but polite with parents
- Marathi and Hindi essential; English an advantage
- Living in or near [Area] preferred, given early morning shifts
- Available to work weekends and early morning shifts

- Mobile phone use on deck is not permitted during supervision.
- All staff are subject to background verification before joining. This is a children's facility and we take safeguarding seriously.
