Accountant – Food & Beverage Operations

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of a growing Food & Beverage business. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting skills, commercial understanding, and the ability to identify cost leakages, improve financial controls, and provide actionable business insights.

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in restaurants, cafés, cloud kitchens, food manufacturing, or other F&B; businesses.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping

- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
- Record and reconcile all sales, purchases, expenses, and bank transactions.
- Manage GST compliance, TDS, vendor payments, and statutory filings.
- Coordinate with auditors, CAs, and regulatory authorities when required.

Financial Reporting

- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
- Generate weekly and monthly business performance reports.
- Monitor revenue, gross margins, food costs, labour costs, and operating expenses.
- Provide management with financial insights and recommendations.

Cost Control & Leakage Prevention

- Identify financial leakages, pilferage, inventory discrepancies, and process inefficiencies.
- Establish systems and controls to prevent revenue loss and unauthorized expenses.
- Monitor stock consumption versus sales and highlight variances.
- Conduct periodic audits of cash, inventory, and operational processes.

Business Analysis

- Create and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, and MIS reports.




- Analyze sales trends across products, locations, channels, and time periods.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and profitability metrics.
- Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Inventory & Vendor Management

- Monitor inventory valuation and stock movement.
- Reconcile purchases, stock records, and supplier invoices.
- Track food cost percentages and identify unusual variances.
- Maintain vendor payment schedules and outstanding reports.

Desired Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience in F&B;, restaurant, café, cloud kitchen, hospitality, or retail operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
