Maati Sona is a pottery and painting studio that runs workshops and creates handmade ceramic pieces. We are growing and looking for a skilled potter to join our production team.

About the Role
You will make handmade pottery for our studio, from wheel-thrown pieces to hand-built items. You will work with our team to keep production steady and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

- Throw pottery on the wheel to a consistent size and quality
- Make items in batches as per production targets
- Trim, finish and prepare pieces for drying, bisque firing and glazing
- Help with glazing and kiln loading and unloading
- Check finished pieces for defects and maintain quality standards
- Prepare clay and maintain the wheels, tools and workspace
- Support the team on new designs and product samples

Requirements





- 1 to 2 years of experience in wheel throwing and production pottery
- Ability to make uniform pieces such as cups, bowls, plates and vases
- Knowledge of clay types, drying, glazing and firing
- Comfortable working at production speed without losing quality
- Reliable, punctual and valuable at working in a team

Good to Have

- Experience with kiln firing and glaze mixing
- Hand-building and slab work skills
- Ability to guide beginners in workshops
- Portfolio or photos of past work
