SAP BTP/SAP Cloud Administrator - Consultant

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Consultant – SAP BTP/SAP Cloud Administrator to join our ERP Platform team. In this critical role, you will partner with key business stakeholders, architects, and Managed Services (AMS) providers to ensure the optimal operation of SAP Cloud solutions and the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will be responsible for the administration, governance, and operational stability of our SAP BTP environment, ensuring it is securely configured, cost-controlled, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. This position serves as the primary technical contact supporting SAP BTP developers, integration teams, and architects across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

- Platform Administration: Administer Global accounts for BTP and cloud-based SAP solutions, maintaining optimal technical setup and configuration across the enterprise.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to support proof-of-concept efforts, deliver metric-driven outcomes, and monitor enterprise spend while maximizing platform value.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor logs, service instances, quotas, and ERP platform alerts; identify opportunities to optimize costs and forecast cloud expenditures.
- Architecture Alignment: Partner with the ERP Platform Architect on the development of BTP standards and best practices; ensure adherence to global SAP design and architecture principles.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all changes and enhancements meet required quality and compliance requirements, including GxP and SOX standards; participate in architecture review boards as needed.
- Operational Support: Provide ongoing operational support for SAP BTP and cloud solutions, serving as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries and incident resolution.
- Security Management: Maintain secure configuration of BTP environments and enforce enterprise security standards across all platform components.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Informatics, or related discipline).
- Minimum 10 years of experience implementing and managing SAP BTP and cloud-based SAP solutions in Global ERP environments.




- Strong knowledge of SAP cloud architecture, including:
- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- SAP BTP Cloud solutions (Signavio, LeanIX, Cloud ALM)

- Hands-on experience maintaining cloud infrastructure for SAP solutions such as:

- Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
- Commerce Cloud (Hybris)
- Ariba
- Concur
- SAP Work Manager
- Business Network for Logistics

- Demonstrated expertise administering SAP BTP accounts, including Global Accounts, Directories, and Subaccounts with responsibility for entitlements, quotas, and subscriptions across multi-environment landscapes (Dev/Test/Prod).
- Proven ability to manage SAP BTP security and identity configuration, including:

- SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS)
- Enterprise identity provider integration
- Role collections and authorization assignments
- Least-privilege access enforcement

- Hands-on experience configuring secure connectivity between SAP BTP and external systems, including:

- SAP Cloud Connector
- BTP Connectivity service
- Destinations and certificates
- Principal propagation

- Experience administering core SAP BTP services, such as:

- SAP Integration Suite
- SAP HANA Cloud
- SAP Process Automation
- Service lifecycle management and subscriptions

- Working knowledge of SAP BTP runtimes and environments, including Cloud Foundry and/or Kyma, with the ability to support application deployments, runtime monitoring, and resource management.
- Ability to monitor, operate, and support SAP BTP in production environments, including logging, alerting, incident support, usage analysis, and cost/entitlement optimization.
- Experience applying platform governance and enterprise standards, including landscape segregation, naming conventions, transport strategies, and alignment with Clean Core and S/4HANA extensibility principles.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams including SAP Basis, integration architects, developers,



security, and enterprise architecture teams.
- Ability to maintain clear documentation and operational runbooks.

- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects and competing requirements with strong time management skills.
- Understanding of business processes in the Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical domain.
- Knowledge of GxP compliance requirements and best practices.
