About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services and APIs that support our innovative products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable, secure, and efficient APIs, with a keen interest in AI/ML applications. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, data scientists, and system architects to deliver seamless integrations and impactful features. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI/ML use cases such as data extraction, document processing, recommendations, and predictive insights, while contributing to cloud-based deployment and DevOps activities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in backend or software development, with a strong focus on Node.js, is required. Candidates should have a solid understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js fundamentals, asynchronous programming, and backend architecture principles. Experience in developing RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs is essential,



along with comprehensive knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design, complex query optimization, and indexing strategies. Familiarity with authentication, authorization, API security, and secure coding practices is necessary. The candidate should also have a good grasp of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, with an emphasis on writing clean, reusable, and testable code. Exposure to frontend integration, particularly with React.js, and an interest or experience in AI/ML, data engineering, or data processing will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js to support various applications and platforms.
- Build scalable and secure REST and GraphQL APIs that facilitate seamless integration with frontend systems and third-party services.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, develop complex queries, and implement indexing strategies to ensure high performance.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs and services, ensuring smooth data flow and user experience.
- Participate in system design, code reviews, and technical discussions to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure system stability.
- Implement security measures, including authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms,



to safeguard applications and data.
- Work on AI/ML use cases such as data extraction, document processing, recommendations, and predictive insights, integrating relevant models and services.
- Build and maintain data pipelines capable of processing structured and unstructured data efficiently.
- Integrate AI services, large language models (LLMs), and machine learning models into business workflows to enhance product capabilities.
- Contribute to cloud-based deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps activities to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Optionally contribute to frontend development tasks, particularly with React.js, to support full-stack development efforts.
