Job Description In this role, you will serve as the primary administrator for the organization's on-premises Atlassian Data Center environment, supporting both the application layer and the underlying infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo while also administering the Linux servers that host these platforms. On a daily basis, you will partner with business users and technical teams to fulfill platform requests, configure projects and workflows, manage permissions and security, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements that improve the overall user experience. You will also perform system maintenance activities including upgrades, patching, performance tuning, monitoring, automation development, and technical debt remediation to ensure the Atlassian ecosystem remains secure, stable, and scalable. -Administer and support Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo within an Atlassian Data Center environment. -Perform Linux system administration, including OS upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, monitoring, and server maintenance. -Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, permissions, custom fields, plugins, and security settings. -Develop and support automations using ScriptRunner and native Atlassian automation capabilities. -Troubleshoot and resolve application, infrastructure, and integration issues. -Manage user access, provisioning, and identity integrations, including Okta. -Perform backups, upgrades, restores, and platform maintenance activities. -Partner with end users to support requests, platform enhancements, and process improvements. Identify and remediate technical debt while driving platform optimization initiatives. -Provide administration support for additional enterprise applications and monitoring tools, such as Icinga, as needed. Skills and Requirements -3+ years of hands-on Atlassian Administration experience in a Data Center or On-Premises environment. -3+ years of Linux System Administration experience, including OS upgrades, patching, server maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. -Experienced supporting both the application administration and infrastructure administration aspects of an Atlassian Data Center environment. Must be equally comfortable administering Atlassian applications and the underlying Linux servers that host them. -Robust experience administering Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo. -Hands-on experience with Atlassian Automation and ScriptRunner. -Experience configuring Jira projects, workflows, permissions, security settings, custom fields, plugins, and user administration. -Experience integrating Atlassian applications with identity providers such as Okta. -Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments and addressing technical debt. -Strong understanding of networking fundamentals. -Experience administering Icinga or similar monitoring tools. -Experience supporting healthcare or HIPAA-regulated environments. -Experience supporting additional enterprise applications.
