Job Title: Snowflake Administrator

Experience: 5-10 Years

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure the Snowflake Data Cloud platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Snowflake administration, performance tuning, security management, user access control, monitoring, and supporting data engineering teams in building scalable cloud-based data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain Snowflake environments across development, testing, and production.
- Configure and manage Snowflake accounts, virtual warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, and users.
- Implement and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and data security policies.
- Monitor Snowflake performance, query optimization, and warehouse utilization.
- Manage resource monitors, storage consumption, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Configure and maintain data sharing, Snow pipe, Streams, Tasks, and Time Travel features.
- Support data ingestion and integration from various sources using ETL/ELT tools.
- Perform backup, recovery, cloning, and failover activities.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and provide root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and Business teams to ensure platform reliability.
- Implement governance, auditing,



and compliance controls.
- Automate administration tasks using Python, Shell Scripting, or Terraform.

Required Skills

- 5-10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years of Snowflake Administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture and administration.
- Experience in user management, RBAC, security, and access controls.
- Hands-on experience with SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Data Sharing.
- Knowledge of SQL and performance tuning techniques.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting Snowflake environments.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
