About the Role
We are looking for a Senior BI Developer with 10+ years of experience and deep Databricks expertise to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade data and analytics solutions. You will combine strong Databricks platform knowledge with solid BI development skills delivering scalable, performant, and governed data pipelines and analytical solutions that drive business decision making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Databricks-based data pipelines and analytical solutions using PySpark, Delta Lake, and SQL across Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
- Build and optimise ETL / ELT pipelines ingesting, transforming, and loading data from multiple source systems into Databricks Delta Lake for BI and analytics consumption.
- Develop Power BI reports and dashboards connected to Databricks SQL endpoints delivering clear, accurate, and actionable business insights.
- Design and maintain dimensional data models including star and snowflake schemas aligned to data warehouse and BI best practices.




- Implement and manage Unity Catalog for data governance, access control, data lineage, and metadata management across Databricks workspaces.
- Configure and manage Databricks workflows, jobs, and cluster optimisation ensuring reliable, cost-effective pipeline execution at scale.
- Conduct Databricks performance tuning including query optimisation, Delta table compaction, Z-ordering, and caching strategies.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders translating reporting requirements into well-designed Databricks and BI solutions.
- Implement data quality frameworks within Databricks ensuring data completeness, accuracy, and consistency across analytical pipelines.
- Produce clear technical documentation including pipeline design documents, data dictionaries, and deployment guides.
