This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for guiding engineering direction across multiple Agile Scrum teams within a product area. You will serve as the primary technical authority, making implementation decisions and maintaining consistently high engineering standards. The role combines hands-on software development with mentorship, architecture ownership, and end-to-end delivery leadership. You will work across backend, frontend, and mobile platforms while helping teams navigate complex technical challenges and ambiguous requirements. As a player-coach, you will contribute production code while raising engineering quality and capability across the wider team. The position also offers significant ownership of critical product areas and the prospect to strengthen team resilience through knowledge sharing and cross-training.

Accountabilities:




- Serve as the technical authority across multiple development teams, making implementation decisions, resolving technical disagreements, and maintaining high engineering standards.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex features across backend, frontend, and mobile platforms, from design and implementation through deployment and monitoring.
- Break down ambiguous requirements into clearly scoped technical tasks and proactively identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and reliability risks.
- Maintain an active player-coach role by regularly contributing high-quality production code and demonstrating strong engineering practices.
- Conduct thorough and constructive code reviews that improve software quality and support the development of less experienced engineers.
