Job Description
Ares is seeking an Analyst, Software Engineer to join the Credit Technology Engineering team and contribute to the development, testing, deployment, and support of technology solutions powering the firm’s global credit investment platform.
Reporting to the VP, Credit Engineering Lead, this role will serve as an early-career hands-on software engineer, working with senior engineers to build applications, APIs, data services, and platform capabilities across the credit investment lifecycle,



including deal origination, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, risk management, and investment analytics.
The successful candidate will contribute directly to software development while building skills in modern full-stack engineering, cloud-native development, software delivery practices, testing, documentation, and production support.
The ideal candidate will bring strong software engineering fundamentals, a desire to learn enterprise application development, and an interest in financial services, investment management, credit, lending, or alternative asset management technology.
This individual will collaborate closely with engineers, Product Management, Investment Technology stakeholders, and business partners to deliver maintainable, high-quality technology solutions that support the firm’s growing credit business.
