Job Description – Plugin Developer
WordPress / WooCommerce / Magento
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Plugin Developer with robust hands-on expertise in WordPress, WooCommerce, and Magento to join our development team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing plugins, extensions, and integrations for eCommerce platforms. You will work on solutions that integrate websites and online stores with third-party APIs, payment services, business systems, and other external platforms.
We are looking for someone who understands not only plugin development, but also the underlying architecture, security, performance, and compatibility requirements of production eCommerce environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom WordPress plugins and WooCommerce extensions.
- Develop and maintain Magento modules/extensions.
- Build integrations between eCommerce platforms and third-party systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and other integration methods.
- Customize and extend existing WordPress, WooCommerce,



and Magento functionality.
- Integrate payment gateways, shipping providers, ERP/CRM systems, and other external services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plugin, extension, API, and compatibility issues.
- Maintain compatibility with new versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, PHP, and related dependencies.
- Write clean, secure, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Review existing code and identify opportunities to improve performance, security, and maintainability.
- Diagnose production issues using application logs, API logs, debugging tools, and monitoring solutions.
- Develop automated and manual tests for plugins and integrations.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Work closely with product, engineering, QA, support, and other technical teams.
