This Senior Software Engineer role designs, develops, and maintains high-performance, scalable Java/J2EE applications, incorporating robust backend services and responsive front-end components. Owning full lifecycle development, from requirements analysis through deployment and support, this role collaborates closely with product managers, designers, QA, and fellow engineers in Agile/Scrum environments.
In addition, you will participate actively in technical design reviews, write clean and maintainable code, resolve complex technical issues, and continuously promotes best practices. Staying informed of emerging technologies, the engineer proactively identifies opportunities to enhance software quality, performance, and maintainability.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Design, develop,



and maintain scalable Smalltalk applications using technologies like VAST and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Take end-to-end ownership of development tasks: from requirement analysis through implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code; participate in peer reviews and encourage best practices.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with QA and support teams to ensure timely resolution
- Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to improving code quality, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers to turn functional and UI/UX requirements into reliable technical solutions
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend tools, frameworks, and libraries that enhance development productivity and maintainability
- Engage actively in sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Promote a knowledge-sharing cult
