Position: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Project Management

Reporting To: Head – NPD / Project Management

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n
- Lead multiple automotive NPD projects and manage project plans, WBS, Gantt charts, milestones and critical paths.
/n
- Coordinate with Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchase, Tool Room, Testing, Production, Suppliers and Sales teams.
/n
- Drive customer reviews, requirements, approvals, open points and escalations.
/n
- Monitor prototype development, tooling, testing, validation, PPAP and SOP readiness.
/n
- Identify project risks and issues, maintain action and risk registers, and drive recovery plans.
/n
- Manage engineering and customer changes, including their impact on cost, timing, tooling and validation.
/n
- Track project budgets, tooling and development costs, supplier milestones,



and prepare management reports.
/n

Required Skills

/n

Strong knowledge of Automotive PDS and APQP

/n

PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, DVP&R;, MSA and SPC

/n

Working knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA FMEA and VDA 6.3

/n

Product development, prototype development, testing and validation

/n

Engineering Change Management and supplier APQP/development

/n

Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project/equivalent

/n

SAP, PLM/PDM and Power BI will be an added advantage.

/n

Ideal Candidate

/n

We are looking for a skilled with 5–10 years of automotive experience, preferably with 3+ years in NPD / Project Management. Experience with automotive OEM/Tier-1 customers and hands-on APQP/PPAP and product development experience will be valuable.

/n

Preferred certifications include PMP, APQP/PPAP, VDA FMEA, IATF 16949 Internal Auditor and VDA 6.3.
